I analyze the answers, verify current market conditions, depreciation curves, and what's realistic at your budget. The outcome is a tailored shortlist of up to five cars that actually fit; complete with rationale, trade-offs, and the typical trap to avoid in your situation.
We walk through the shortlist together and narrow it down. By the end of this call you'll typically pick one or two cars to pursue further, with a clear sense of why.
The Match ends here. The Search goes further. I pick best-suited listings of the chossen cars and provide a Model-specific Deep Dive. Concierge goes all the way. I take care of negotiating, contract review, and delivery coordination. You sign the contract and pick up the keys.

Why: typically cars fail at the edge cases. Knowing the once-a-month use shapes the shortlist in the right direction.
"Where does the car live (garage, driveway, street)? And how brutal is your winter?"
Why: an outdoor-only car in Toronto and a garaged car in Vancouver live very different lives.
"What's the all-in monthly number that includes insurance, fuel, parking, and a surprise repair?"
Why: purchase price is only a portion of true ownership cost. The honest monthly amount is a better guide.
"What's the one thing you've sworn you'll never compromise on again?"
Why: the non-negotiable filter is the fastest way to remove the wrong cars from the shortlist.
An illustrative client example: healthy $70K budget, lives in Toronto, has a young family but isn't ready to give up an enjoyable daily driver. The full deliverable includes 5 cars, expanded why per each pick, and the common trap to avoid in this individual situation.
The disciplined choice. Exceptional sport sedan dynamics, Quattro AWD system for the Toronto winter, fits two car seats, and sophisticated enough that nobody at daycare pickup looks at you twice. Used B9.5 examples are plentiful in Ontario.
Trade-off: Resale lags BMW by a few points. Interior space is on the smaller side. Earlier 3.0T engines had carbon buildup and oil consumption issues worth a PPI.

The plentiful pick. A 4.4L twin-turbo V8 with 523 hp in a full-size sedan that has a proper rear seat for the kids and in-laws. A comfy and better daily vs M5, for considerably less money. The kind of car that makes commute the best part of the day.
Trade-off: V8 fuel economy. Out-of-warranty maintenance gets real. Insurance steps up vs the S4.

The wagon answer. 5.5L twin-turbo V8 with 577 hp and AMG-tuned 4MATIC, in a five-seat estate that swallows two car seats, the hockey bag, and the IKEA run. Yet still does 0–100 km/h in under four seconds. The school-pickup car no one sees coming. #WAGONMAFIA.
Trade-off: Older AMG maintenance. M157 V8 needs a careful PPI. Fuel and insurance step up.

I run the public and private listings search for you. You get a curated shortlist of vetted cars. Not just "interesting listings" but cars I'd be happy to guide a client into. Plus a Model Deep Dive on your specific car so you are fully informed.
Also depends on the car. Common request (RS6 Avant, a Cayman GTS, BMW X3 M) takes 2 weeks. Rarer listings (manual M5, C43 wagon) could take longer.
I find the cars and provide a comprehensive analysis. You contact the seller, negotiate, arrange delivery and PPI, and sign. If you'd rather skip that process, that's Concierge.
You most likely know the model but don't want to spend time and energy refreshing listings. Plus you'd like to learn the difference between a $48k and a $65k version of the same car.

The full engagement where I find the right car, vet it, negotiate the price, review the paperwork, coordinate the trade-in, and arrange pick up. You do the test drive (if you want one) and sign at delivery. My goal is always to save you more on price than the engagement cost. That's not a guarantee, but it's been the outcome on almost all Concierge engagements.

No. Carsmenskii services are paid only by clients. I don't accept commissions, kickbacks, or referral fees from dealers, manufacturers, or third-party sellers. That's the entire point of the service: I am exclusively on your side.
I'm based in Toronto and work with clients across Canada, though so far the work has been concentrated in Ontario and the GTA. Sourcing cars from the U.S. or overseas (for delivery into Canada) is something I can take on; I'll quote it honestly based on the specific car and timeline.
It depends on the car. Common, in-stock vehicles can close within a week or two of my first call. Rare or imported cars can take longer. I'll give you a realistic timeline before you commit, and I'll tell you up front if the timeline isn't realistic.
I can handle imports, JDM wagons, European-spec rarities, US-only trims. I haven't done dozens of these; I have done enough to know what's involved (paperwork, RIV, compliance work) and to know when to bring in a specialist broker. Concierge engagements include the coordination and review.
